parcade: toronto’s urban installation project
shapelab, a four-month experiential learning initiative, invited interdisciplinary student teams to design installations to add vibrancy to toronto’s entertainment corridor along the king street west pilot project. four winning teams received $1,000 in prize money and $4,000 in prototype funding to make designs a reality. students were also connected with real-world mentors—ryerson university faculty, city staff, and private-sector professionals—for a hands-on learning opportunity.
lucy wowk, daphne chan, lisa cumming, and emily skublics were also on the winning team. our project was featured in NOW mag, building magazine, and blogTO. i was interviewed (in french) by radio canada.
